What Are Your Training Methods and Philosophies?

We use methods that teach your dog what you want them to do by utilizing behavioral science, such as operant conditioning, classical conditioning, desensitization, and proper body language.

While we encourage you to read about the science behind the terms used above, we will put it into easy words. We only want you to build your relationship with your dog using the proper training that works by teaching your dog to trust you, listen to you, respect you, and make correct choices.

What we do NOT do - we do not use any physical force or punishment. We do not use choke chains, prong collars, or electronic shock collars of any kind. We can show you how to get your dog to do what you want on a simple nylon collar or body harness if you prefer.

Where Does the Training Take Place?

Private lessons take place in your home, at a local park, your favorite pet store, or even your favorite pet-friendly atmosphere. To properly solve any behavioral problem, it is best to utilize where the behavior is taking place.

Puppy classes will be conducted in the lobby of a veterinarian's clinic or facility. We also offer at-home, one-on-one lessons with your puppy as well!

How Long Will It Take to Get My Dog Trained?

The truth is that training varies from dog to dog and from behavior to behavior. It is dependent upon how severe the behavior may be or how frequently it occurs, as well as how much time and effort you can contribute to your dog's training. The more dedicated you are, the faster you will see the results!

How Do I Know What Type of Training Program Is the Best for My Dog?

There are many factors that we must take into account in order to design a program that will work for both you and your dog. Once we gather some basic information about your situation, we will set up a time for your first lesson. During this lesson, you and your trainer will decide what program will work the best for you and your dog to help you obtain optimum results.
